NOTA BENE

The world of Arcadia began as a "what if" conversation my daughter, Monica. We both loved how Rick Riordan's books had brought mythology to the modern world and we wondered what a futuristic world controlled by the Greek gods would be like. The hypothetical discussion reminded me of a old Star Trek episode called "Who Mourns for Adonias?" where the god Apollo had tried to force Captain Kirk and the crew of the Enterprise to worship him. I couldn't stop thinking about the possibilities. The next day as I was giving the Spanish AP test, I found myself sketching a map and outlining the powers and followers of each Olympian. Thus the world of Arcadia was born.
