Eons ago the Gods ruled over the dawning of ancient Greece.  From the heights of Mt. Olympus they bent mankind to their will.  Unfortunately, Olympians are immortal and easily bored.  One day they looked away from their children and in the blink of an eye the Earth changed.  Mankind forgot the Gods and instead called them myths.  To their regret the Olympians discovered no amount of manipulation of human history could bring mankind back into the fold, and so they took the only option left to them – they started over.

Transplanting a small group of human colonists to the distant world of Arcadia, they created a new and perfect utopia.  Each Olympian reigns over a cult of followers in a personal city-state where their word is law.  To promote harmony, the Great Law of the Olympians forbids all war on Arcadia.  For two thousand years the Gods and mortals have lived in harmony, although even the Olympians would have to admit - nothing is ever perfect.

Once every hundred years the Son of Ares is born to upset the delicate balance of their world.

Son of Ares

Son of Ares

Eons ago the Gods ruled over the dawning of ancient Greece. From the heights of Mt. Olympus they bent mankind to their will. Fortunately, Olympians are immortal and easily bored. They lost control and let the humans they dominated get away. To their regret the Olympians discovered no amount of manipulation of human history could bring mankind into the fold, and so they took the only option left to them – they started over.

Transplanting a small group of humans to the distant world of Arcadia, they created a new and perfect utopia – at least for the Gods. Each Olympian reigns over a cult of followers in a personal city-state where their word is law. For two thousand years the Gods and mortals have lived in harmony, except once every hundred years when the Son of Ares is born to upset the delicate balance of their world. The Olympians have learned to live with the chaos and deal with Ares’s progeny. However, the Gods of Arcadia will soon learn they have underestimated the latest incarnation of the Son of Ares.

Alexander was just a gardener in New Athens until the day Athena’s empath determined he was the Son of Ares and he found himself the most hated man on Arcadia. Swept away by the forces of destiny, Alexander became a single-minded champion in humanity’s fight against their Olympian oppressors. His capital city of Metropolis became the home for misfits, outcasts and exiles who refused to live by the rules of the Gods, but it was built on a fragile foundation - could it endure.

Although he managed to win over the Daughter of Athena, his struggle with the Olympians was far from over. Before he can realize his dream for humanity’s future, Alexander must face riots in Metropolis, an angry Amazon Queen, the machinations of Hermes and a very dangerous manticore.

Join the Son of Ares and the Daughter of Athena in their ongoing struggle against the Gods of Arcadia.

Reviews:

Wow, how delightful, the second book was even better than the first. I just keep thinking that these books would be great on film. Alexander, Son of Ares is as complex and interesting a character as Ardella, Daughter of Athena was in the first book. There is romance but not to a degree that makes it unsuitable for teens. There is intrigue, action and surprises great and small that kept me interested from beginning to end. Sci-fi / mythology at its best.

Amazonia book cover

Amazonia (Origins)

Long ago the Olympian gods lived with the mortals on Earth. It was a time of menacing monsters and brave heroes. It was the Age of Mythology, but it did not last. The Olympians were careless and let mankind escape from their grasp. There were too many mortals with too many new ideas to control. No matter how hard they tried, the Olympians discovered they could not stop the progress of human history. So they took the only option left to them – they started over.

Transplanting a small group of human colonists to the distant planet of Arcadia, the Olympians created a new mythical world filled with robots, Amazons, computers and mythical monsters. Arcadia is a world where the future and the past live side by side in perfect harmony. Arcadia is a world where Olympians rule and mortals obey.

Ardella is a follower of Athena attending the Academy in New Athens. Lyessa is the youngest daughter of the Queen of the Amazons. The unexpected meeting of these two girls turns into a life-long friendship. It does not matter that one follows Hera and the other Athena. No matter what the Gods of Arcadia have to say about it – Ardella and Lyessa will be best friends forever.
